To help accomplish this mission we are searching for an Abrasive Blast Technician who can mechanically clean parts prior to masking, priming, etc. Mechanical cleaning involves sand or media blasting to ensure all parts are ready for primer and paint. Abrasive blasting is an important step in the product lifecycle to ensure the parts we are sending to our customers are in top-quality condition.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Abrasive blasting technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with sandblasting machinery and procedures. Removing rust, paint, and imperfections/preparing surfaces for painting, coating, or other treatments. If you have a background in construction, automotive, or industrial manufacturing we encourage you to apply.

Duties:

  • Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, or shape surfaces of structures or equipment
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint and rust
  • Follow safety procedures to protect yourself and others from harmful exposure
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines
  • Load/unload work areas.
  • Read and follow guidelines, work instructions, SOPs, and specifications.
  • Count all parts to ensure physical parts match paperwork.
  • Use proper lifting tools to load and unload machines.

Skills/Requirements :

– Lift 50lbs (standing, bending, stooping)

– Respirator training

– Function in varying temperatures/environment
